Internet marketing isn’t difficult but it can be a complicated business. There are so many ways to make money. Making websites, doing search engine optimization, emails, autoresponders and that is just the start of it. Then you have to uncover your niche, research your market, develop your product and so on. Then just as you think you have figured out your system along comes yet another indispensable tool or system. So you rejig the system and read another 100 odd pages of tutorials and watch another 20 hours of boring video. Then you check your emails again. There are 65 emails all heralding the latest and greatest in internet marketing. Spy on your opposition, buy these plr products and do not forget to listen in to the latest teleconference with two or three self proclaimed experts selling some over priced “how to” book which is probably just another variation of what you learned a few months ago.

Have you ever wondered if this is some clever plan by the successful marketers to confuse the aspiring marketers. Maybe not but it does sow the seeds of confusion into the minds of the unfocused.

Your email inbox is a major distraction to actually getting on and being successful in internet marketing. The answer here is to limit the amount of time you spend reading emails. Go through the list of emails you receive and unsubscribe from most of them. Be utterly ruthless and just retain one or two of the very best newsletters. It will be painful because you probably enjoy receiving them and spend hours reading them and then reading the things they promote. However, they have fatally distracted you and stolen hours of your time.

It is time to focus and choose the branch of internet marketing that you enjoy. Go for one thing and get it going properly and then expand into the next thing in a natural progression that will best compliment your original choice. Follow your prepared system and focus on that. Do not be completely deaf to what is going on in the internet marketing world but limit the addictive time wasting of so much of it.

Concentrate and focus on achieving your goals and making profits. Join a successful mentoring program if you feel you need to but quit hopping from one thing to the next. Concentrate on being single minded and keep your focus. When you have attained your initial goals and have things running smoothly then you can look around for ways to expand your business.

All the best for your success.
